Walking Dead

A form of (black?) magic in Toradja in Indonesia where the corpse of a dead person is hypnotized to find its own way home. That is to avoid the hassle to manage the dead body.

Creepy? 101%

weeping statues

It has been reported that there had been various incidents of weeping statues and weeping paintings. But mostly has been declared as hoaxes by religious officials.

Lists of incidents, click here. Believe in it or don't, it's your choice. But it won't change the fact that it did happen. And there are reasons why is it so. Either way, it's not good to get too carried away, as there were warnings about false prophets in the Good Book itself.

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many...For there shall
arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders;
in so much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

Matthew 24:11, 24, KJV

So contradictory, making it one of the many fascinating things worth reading about.

Stigmata

This entry is mainly because of my own fascination of the stigmata, which is spontaneous manifestation of bloody wounds on a person's hands, feet, forehead and back (source : ).

According to history, the first stigmatics mentioned is St. Francis of Assisi, in whom the stigmata were of a character never seen subsequently; in the wounds of feet and hands were excrescences of flesh representing nails, those on one side having round back heads, those on the other having rather long points, which bent back and grasped the skin. The feast of the Stigmata of St. Francis is kept on 17 September, which is today.

It is endured by devout Catholic believer, but with recent events, it has also been found inflicted in non-believers.

More of the history, click here.

Facts:

☼ Stigmata can affect women as well as men,

☼The blood may be of a different type than the person who is having the experience

☼a real stigmatic exhibits the wounds in a five-part series, and at the end of each sequence the stigmatic is sometimes known to smell a specific type of flower,

☼the blood flows freely and cannot be stopped with traditional medical care,

☼The blood flow will often go against the laws of gravity
